About Peter Carlson and Games Without Rules

“It's up to us what matters. That's what I think. The parameters of what we talk about are so often defined by what's acceptable, and when you go into another world or realm, you get to decide. People playing a game create a separate space.

“And we are the most free when we are playing games. When games work well, it is sharing a story. Whatever rules we agree to for a game, they are just the most fundamental structure for whose turn it is. I like a world where everyone gets a turn.

“All of us are weary of it not being our turn.”
